I failed to mention the handsome lettering here was all done by hand by Bob Pinaha.
Round about page 200 of this epic, I took over the lettering, with mixed results. I plan to re-letter a chunk of this at some point. I may even just go whole hog and redo all the lettering with a computer font based on my writing to keep the look uniform. Dunno.
Anyway, tune in every day for a new page of my epic comic saga. Because if you don’t. I will cry.
Every time you don’t love my comic, a gorgeously dressed androgynous alien dies.

Colleen, love the site, really good work, as always! I have your feed added, and am looking forward to getting to see a page of your artwork every day! I’m saving starting on book 2 as my reward for finishing my current work… super excited to get there!
You are making me reread what I’ve already read. And you’re very funny about it! Hee.
One thing I really liked is the sort of wobbly spidery singsong lettering when Liana was singing to herself to keep certain awful things happening to someone else out of her head, in one of the later issues.
I love the fact that you now have a LensCrafters ad. “Colleen Doran…for Lenscrafters.”
That’s rather sophisticated panel work up there. You really force the reader’s eyeflow.
Thanks.
And BTW, I actually DO go to Lenscrafters. I remember posting about going there on my old board. Time for a check up BTW. Back to Lenscrafters.
It’s the pizza ads that get to me. Man, I love pizza.
Quote: “Every time you don’t love my comic, a gorgeously dressed androgynous alien dies.”
Please think of the adrogynous aliens D:
Wouldn’t it actually be “Every time you don’t love my comic, you condemn a gorgeously dressed androgynous alien to terminal decreptitue”?
How about, “Every time you don’t love my comic, a gorgeous androgynous alien is forced to shop off the rack?”
Oh my gosh, I love that slogan. I am SO going to put that on a t-shirt.
