I am forced to brag about my brother again.
My brother the cop was named Officer of the Year. Just a few weeks ago he also received the Gold Medal Valor Award.
The Sons of the American Revolution presented him with another medal for Public Service, and here we are at the ceremony. From far left, Rusty McGuire the Deputy Commonwealth Attorney, Dad, Me, Mom, My Big Bro (Richard Doran), and two officers whose names escape me, but I think one of ‘em is my brother’s boss.
They impressed me. They had very shiny gear.
The Sons of the American Revolution know how to serve a nice meal, that’s for darn sure. I love salmon.
I dashed out of town to attend the ceremony, so I played hooky from Gone to Amerikay for a few days. I know my editor Joan Hilty will see this. Hi Joan.
My brother was honored for saving an unconscious woman from a burning truck, an act he performed while off duty.
I just love him to bits.
