Robert Washington, comics writer for Milestone, passed away aged 47. Like many in our unstable profession, he fell on hard times and became homeless.
The following was forwarded to me by Joan Hilty.
Rather than leave the late writer Robert Washington to the fate of the New York medical examiners’ office, and an unmarked, un-noted burial, a group of friends and the Hero Initiative are working to make proper funeral arrangements. The contributions go to HI as directed donations:
1) Go to The Hero Initiative.
2) Top right, right under “Search the site” is a yellow PayPal “donate” button
3) People can click, log in to PayPal, and donate
4) There’s a button that says “add special instructions to seller.” Click on this
5) Type in: “Robert Washington”
If there’s anything left over after the arrangements are covered, the balance will go to the Hero Initiative as a donation in Robert’s honor.
