New York City Comic Con: Commissions and Info
on October 11th, 2012I am in Artist Alley, directly next to the entrance on the far left,in the Artist Choice section of the show. Table 11 and Booth N – 107 ailes a & b. Artist Alley is set WAAAAAAAAY to the far right of the convention hall is one entire room. Huge. San Diego has nothing on this Artist Alley. Nothing but comics, comics, comics and comics artists.
Here’s a look at two of the commissions I finished before the show. I still have a couple more to complete and don’t think I can take any more. You may inquire at the show.
A lovely Wonder Woman. This was very hard for the scanner service to handle: apparently, their scanner is not as nice as the one I have at home, and this really doesn’t capture the colors very well.
Have some Aquaman!
And Laurel Gand from “The Legion of Superheroes”, the Five Years Later storyline by Keith Giffen. The color pieces are drawn in Copic Markers and the Aquaman is in pencil.
The good news is I am here at New York Comic Con and all set up. The bad news is, a large box of really old comics did not make it to the show. I think I accidentally shipped one too many boxes of graphic novels and left the big box of comics sitting there. I am really sorry, I know some of you were really looking forward to getting lots of old books.
I do have about 300 comic blasts from my past including “Amazing Spider-Man” 326, “Amazing Spider-Man” 600, “Superman Gallery”, “Sandman” 34, and more. So drop by the booth and have a look.
I will also have a major sale on The Book of Lost Souls graphic novel at OVER half off, and volumes 2-4 of the A Distant Soil graphic novel. I scared up a small amount of A Distant Soil volume I as well at cover price, including a couple of first prints. First come, first served.
Very much looking forward to seeing you!

oh the Aquaman is TOTES not suggestive at *all*–I mean sometimes a trident is just a trident, right?
now THERE’s some fish in a basket.
These are just beautiful. I know you are really busy, but I so would love if DC got you to some covers or a single issue of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, LSH, or Amethyst in Sword of Sorcery.
Did you sell out of Gone to Amerikay yet? You have a really prime spot in Artist Alley, we’ve sold almost nothing.
I sold out of almost everything except Book of Lost Souls, and the only reason I didn’t sell out of that was I accidentally picked up the wrong box of stuff and shipped double the Lost Souls I intended to ship. I sold roughly 200 books overall.
