in the new version you might want to have Niniri say six or seven billion. Five is just so… 20th century XD
Colleen, if there’s one thing I totally dig (as a fellow artist) is awesome foreshortening shots of hands. I’m not sure why. Maybe because I know how hard it is to draw realistic hands, maybe? Anyway, that last panel totally rocks! You know, foreshortened-hand speaking, and all.
If it’s within her character to be imprecise with numbers, Niniri could say “several billion beings” to futureproof the dialogue.
One does not mess with Niniri. They just brought a knife to a gun fight!
Niniri is counting that D’mer and the Resistence actually have a conscience about a planet filled with sentient life. Because she obviously does not. She intends to make the Avatar (Liana) blast her own home to smithereens just to get back at people who have no investment in the planet. It’s not logical, but she is scary.
Thanks Chris, I really appreciate your noting that little detail!
@Jeremy: no, they just brought a knife to a tactical nuke fight.
Ah. The refrain of the psychopath. “You FORCED me to commit those atrocities, they are not something I did (never mind that it is totally my finger on the trigger).” Riiiiiiiiight.
