How Facebook Hides Your Fan Page Posts and How to Find Them Again
I am mesmerizing you with this cute cat meme to get you to read this post which will explain how to get Facebook to work better for you.
Facebook changed its policies last year and fan pages like mine no longer automatically show up in your news feed. If you do not regularly participate on a fan page by hitting the LIKE button or by commenting, Facebook hides the fan page.
To find it, go to your HOME page.
Look at the left hand column. You will see a section called PAGES. Click on the PAGES FEED (seen here under my fan page feed, with a little flag). That is where your fan pages are now.
The more you click LIKE or the more you comment, the more your favorite fan pages will show up in your news feed.
If you just like to read, Facebook will continue to put these pages into the PAGES feed.
Facebook does this, because they want pages like mine to spend advertising dollars. No longer will our fans automatically see our posts. We have to pay Facebook to get you to see them. Sometimes less than 10% of my readers ever see my posts.
Even if you buy an ad, often for days after, Facebook shows your posts to even fewer people than saw it before because they want you to buy more ads.
It’s Facebook’s property, so there you go. Get around this new Facebook policy and check out the PAGES feed for all your favorite fan sites. I love spending time on social media with my readers, but it’s kind of a drag to use this service and not get service back. And believe me, I’ve spent some advertising dollars there, so this is a service I pay for.
I know how many people enjoy fan pages just like I do, and now you know where to find them.
