A DISTANT SOIL: The Gathering Chapter 9 Page 5

My art from this period looks so strange to me. All those hard edges and jagged lines. Reflection of my mood? Hm.

I was looking ahead at the art around issue 11 (this is art from issue 9) and it changes dramatically. The lines are much smoother. I like it alot better as it developed from there.

But my lettering is too sad. Must redo it all someday.

These are the original comments from the original post of 2009, and I was still moaning about the lettering. It has all been redone, thanks to Comicraft and Allan Harvey!

I must note, that unless the sword is doing the cutting for him, physics dictates that he should be dragged along rather than stay planted on his feet.

Thanks Adam, but this criticism is roughly 30 years too late, and physics and comics don’t necessarily go together, especially when one is wielding a magic sword.
