Niniri

I posted the wrong version of this piece earlier, lamenting the fact that I did not have a high resolution copy of it, and found it minutes later. Duh.

There is another color version of this piece, better, I think, than this, which uses pre-fab digital art elements. I was trying my hand at different techniques. Obviously, I’ve learned something about digital art since then!

What’s funny is the woman who inspired her (in part) was pretty tacky, with vulgar tastes, but thought she was quite the sexpot. She had this weird way of changing the way she spoke and her body language. She’d adopt this really quiet, girlish way of speaking and delicate mannerisms. She usually did this toward men. And she focused her entire attention and was kind of mesmerizing when she wanted to be. But when she wasn’t getting the response she wanted, the act was off as if someone flipped a switch.

I tell this story, mostly because I think it’s funny that Niniri is the most beautiful and elegant woman in the history of the universe, but her inspiration was kind of not…though she had the ability to fool everyone into thinking she was super-kind and spiritual, which was not even close to the truth.
